Bandai and CC2 unveiled the next game in the .hack series, .hack//G.U. Apparently, G.U. might mean either Guilty Utopia or Guilty Universe. A five minute trailer was shown during E3 which depicts a mysterious new character player-killing other players. During the battles, the trailer introduces eight character with unique Metal Gear-style names. Whether they are bosses, NPCs or party members is unknown as of this time. At the end of the trailer, the PK enters a church (possibly the same one from other entries in the series) and a dark version of Kite appears. Personally, I am speculating that this is an evil Kite and appears to have gained Matrix-like abilities.
